The last installment of Astronomical Grief will be posting soon, ahead of Winter Solstice. While the series has been a mix of free and paid level content, all three pieces of the 6th issue will be for all subscribers.
Why?
Because I really really really want y’all to read and hear this closing scene.
My conversation with
is…it’s utter magic y’all. I don’t have good words for the space we created between us and what we imagined into. It feels necessary to share as we enter into wintering, a new calendar year, the shitty political realities we are in, and practice…as we enter into practicing the worlds we desire and dream of.I’ve said before this series has ended up writing me. In the final written piece, I share what I’ve been taught by agreeing to go on this journey with Grief and its comrades. I have attempted to write the vision and make it plain. May the reading of it carry you further than you’d ever go on your own.
The Elemental Anchors - as with this entire final installment - are going to be about futures and being held steady in and towards them.
Everything will be available by the end of the week, to accompany you into and through solstice.
Hibernation
Y’all, writing this series alongside the rest of life has been exhausting. This has encouraged me to winter my writing until Spring Equinox (which I may need to do every year, tbh). That means you won’t have anything new from me until then. I will pop on periodically to share older pieces in the chat and notes function on Substack. If you have space and interest, join me there. And also, I wish you rest too. Rest will be how we care for ourselves and one another.
May rest and pleasure be close companions to you this winter season.
Finally, I’m cooking up some fiction with some serious world building (!). This is gonna be fun, and I hope you all will join me on this ride we goin on in the spring.
If you made it this far, I have one more share :D In June 2025, I’m co-creating a trip to Kenya in the theme “Wonder As Spiritual Practice”. Some seats are still available. For more info, check out the trip page.
Treat yourself well with kindness and boundaries and good food.
